- We got to have our niece, Ana, stay with us.
- We got to hear Prophets and Apostles of Jesus Christ speak to us.
Ana is about 15 months now I think. She was the one that used to scream murder every time she looked at Wes, but has now realized that he is actually a fabulous person! So, we were really looking forward to having her with us...and bonding with her. She came over on Friday, just before I got home from work. Friday evening she was really quiet...I think just observing everything and getting used to a new environment. She went to bed at 8:00, slept through the night (thank goodness) and woke up at 8:00am the next day.
We had a lot of fun with her. Since our house is currently baby-free, which includes a toy-free zone, we were worried about entertaining her all weekend. However, she seemed to find a lot that seemed to grasp her interest: remote controls, taking socks (clean) in and out of the hamper...that went on for a good 30 min, rolling the ab ball, pulling on the leaves of the plant, trying to buckle her car seat, sitting in her car seat, opening the cupboards, getting rides from her Aunty and Uncle, going on walks, and watching the geese.
She did wake up at 3:00am early Sunday morning. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, and was worried that she missed her mom and dad. I asked Wes to take a turn to figure out what we could do (thinking that he would grumble something in his sleep and not move), BUT he jumped up and went to the aid of this little sweetheart. He stayed with her until she fell asleep. What a great man! He is going to make a good dad one day! :)

Conference was amazing as always. And, I love watching it from the comfort of our house. A while ago I was given the advice (I think from Wes) to go into conference weekend with a question that you are expecting an answer to....and it WILL get answered. So, I always try and do that. This conference was no different. I have had something on my mind (which I won't go into detail about), but this issue is very important to me...something that I feel will effect generations to come. So, as I was watching and listening, I was waiting for my answer to come. And, sure enough, it did! I can't remember the exact words, or even the speaker for that matter (should have wrote it down), but I do know that I was reminded that as long as I am faithful to the covenants I have made, and do MY part, then things will work out. And, I feel that this desire of my heart will come to pass...I know that it will. I love my Father in heaven and know that He is aware of me, as He is all of His children throughout the world. He knows us, He loves us, He hears our prayers, and He wants us to be happy. Trials give us the opportunity to rely on Him more, and in turn allow us to grow closer to Him. I'm grateful for that.
So, a perfect ending to our weekend: I spent 12 hours running to the bathroom every 30min - 1hr. TALK ABOUT CRAZY!!! Now, Wes is sick too. I think it must have been food poisoning, but we're not sure from what. Can you get food poisoning from eating bread and candy??

What a great weekend. I too found answers to some pressing questions. I didn't want the conference to end. Now it is up to me to read and re-read the talks to find more answers.
Hope the two of you are feeling beter.
