It's time...

It's been a while since I posted anything...so I guess it's time for another one.

First of all, I never knew it was possible to love anyone as much as I love Olivia. I was thinking the other day about if my love for her has increased since she was born. Of course when she was growing inside of me I loved her so much (even before I knew she was a her). I wanted her to be healthy and grow strong. The first moment I saw her after I gave birth to her my heart immediately filled with an amazing love for her that had not previously been there (it's hard to explain really how I felt). As I was first thinking about it, I thought that I loved her more today than when she was born....however, as I thought about it more I realized that I don't love her more now, but rather I love more about her. This is because I am getting to know her more...
  • I love how sometimes her cries are incorporated with grunts when she wakes up...I know at these times that she wants to eat and she wants to eat now!
  • I love her smiles...she is smiling more and more and is definitely more responsive to us... we can make her smile more easily
  • I love her little stretches...when she arches her back, sticks her bum out, squishes her face and stretches her arms long as she can
  • I love how she cuddles with me
  • I love how excited she gets when she's feeding...it's hard to explain, but there are times where I can tell she's really loving it, and other times where she's just eating.
  • I love the milk moustache she gets after a good, satisfying meal.
  • I love how she is becoming fascinated by bright colors. I posted earlier about her noticing the fish on her swing...well, now she stares at them and smiles.
  • I love how I can hold her in my arms as she falls asleep...watching her trying to keep her eyes open, but the sleepiness eventually taking over.
  • I love the bond that her and I have...it's real and something I cherish deeply.
Being a mother is THE BEST!!!

Last Sunday was Olivia's cousins blessing. Olivia had a great time hanging out with everyone and so did we!
