I was SURE I was going to be early....that would have worked out perfectly, so why wouldn't it happen? I knew baby girl wasn't due until Aug 10, but Wes had to leave the country for a few days the following week. It would have been perfect to have her arrive just a few days early, allowing us to have more family time before Wes left for a work trip. We also has Wes' Brother, Mike, and his family in town visiting from North Dakota the week before she was due, it would have been fun for them to meet her.
Anyways, I was ready and good to go! The baby never came. Then, I figured she must be waiting for her grandma to come up! My mom came to stay with us on August 7 and has this whole week off of work to be with Olivia while I was in the hospital, and then to be here to help when we were released. The baby still isn't here and time is ticking...my mom has to leave on August 14 to go back to work.
Wes' other brother, Ryan, and his family are now in town also visiting from North Dakota and so it would be great if they could meet her before they have to leave on August 15th.
Since she hasn't come yet, Wes has made arrangements to not attend his work conference in Dallas, and will be able to join another group at a later date. That is definitely a relief to me! I was worried about being here alone whether it was right before or right after the baby arrived.
I really hope she does come before the end of the week. With Olivia I went into labor 3 days after my due date and she was born on the 4th day. So, if this is going to be a similar situation I have until Aug 14 (aka: my 30th Birthday!)
Come on baby!!! :)
