Paul Brandt has a fan in me

Ever since I married a person who refers to country music as "the devils music" I haven't really listened to a lot of it. However, I do enjoy it and have always liked Paul Brandt....I haven't ever owned one of his CD's, but enjoy his songs.

He was having a small concert to launch the new CrossIron Mills mall and my sister, Liz, invited me to go with her and a friend, Michelle. Liz and Michelle were in line since 10:00 am...I showed up at 5:30 and got to join their place in line! Since we were the first in the gates we got the best seats...front and center! I was even on the news for 0.5 seconds...pretty cool!

Anyways, for all those country-haters out there....Paul Brandt has really great lyrics and I loved them....he sang about being dedicated to his wife, family, Alberta, Canada coming from small towns (Airdire) and big dreams, and Jesus...yes, it was really neat. He said people told him he was a self-made man, but he knew that the Lord had a plan for him even before he was born...and all that we had was from Him.

Now, I don't know about you...but that doesn't sound like "the devils music" to me. And really, how bad can you be if you're a Calgary Flames Fan!.....
