Our little smartie-pants (Oct 16)

Olivia surprises us on a daily basis on the things that she knows and how quickly she picks things up. Olivia loves to have us write our names when we are coloring or drawing with her.  As we do, Olivia will mimic each letter we say.

Today in church we gave her a pen to draw with (one of our many attempts each Sunday to keep her quiet during sacrament meeting). Relieved that she was now occupied with something that was keeping her interest, Wes and I could now try to focus on the Savior as the sacrament was being passed. Olivia begins to scribble on the paper, then out of nowhere and without any prompting from either of us she begins to say:

"L - I - V - I - A"

"WHAT?!?!?!?!?!" She can spell her name??

She is not even two.

Wes and I just looked at each other in complete and utter amazement.

Let's hope she is not smarter than her parents by the time she is six!
