This is something that I've wanted to write about for over a year....
...It all started on Olivia's 1st birthday...actually, just a few days before. We were shopping with Grandma Karen in Home Sense and Olivia sees the cutest black and white puppy. I grab it and let her hold onto it while we shop. It came time for us to say goodbye to the puppy and Olivia started to cry. Grandma quietly asked me, "well, does she have a stuffed animal?...next thing you know Olivia has a new puppy! She LOVES this puppy and sleeps with it every night...also, eats with it a lot too. Automatically best friends!
The following summer we are at a garage sale. Olivia happens to see this stuffed kitty and picks it up. It came time to go to the next garage and she doesn't want to put the kitty back. It's only 10 cents. I just bought it.
Several months later we are at a friends house...they have a teddy bear that Olivia gravitated to. They offered to give it to her...I told them she did not need another stuffed animal. The friend insisted.
At Christmas our neighbours gave Olivia a polar bear. It was love-at-first-sight.
So, when Olivia was 1 year old she would ask for her "puppy" every night before she went to bed. Now, she asks for her "puppy-kitty-teddy-polarbear". Literally. It's becoming a bit of a problem! LOL!

I wish Catie would stick to stuffed animals at night. She sleeps with her books, her rocks, her stroller and her ride on car as well as her two babies and her bear. Any other treasures she's found during the day end up in there too.
When I was her age I had many a stuff animal. When we were cleaning out Moms house I realized that I ended up with over 3 garbage bags full of stuffed friends. (I donated them I my add). She could have worse habits...just sayin. She is sooo cute. Love you,
Tara
This is one way she learns to love and to care for others so I wouldn't worry about her having all those stuffed animals. It is that mothering instinct which is a good thing. Besides, just look at her isn't she cute with all of those friends in her arms.
We went to the Tyrell museum yesterday and now she has added a Dinosaur to the mix. haha. and yes, there are definitely worse things she could be doing. It is good that she cares about so many things! :)
