Swimming

For the very last week of Summer we went down to Grandma's house! Olivia and her cousin, Rylee, got to take swimming together!! They were in the Salamander class and had so much fun! Olivia even tried to jump off the diving board, and got as far as walking to the end of the board (almost) and then turned back around! haha! I'm proud of her for being brave enough to try. 

Party Time!

On August 20th our sweet Aubrey turned Three years old!! We can't even believe it!! She asked for Spaghetti for her birthday dinner so I made that. And, we celebrated with Crave Cupcakes! We were so happy to have uncle Brandon join us!

The following Sunday we invited her near-by aunties, uncles, cousins and grandparents. She was trilled to have everyone over to celebrate with her and asked us many times, "when are the people coming?". When it came down to it (and people started arriving) she felt shy and had a hard time even saying hello. But, I know for sure that each person made her feel special and loved. 

 Some quality brother-sister bonding time between Charity and Dylan! Charity couldn't take Dylan's strength any more and ended up cheating! ha!

All eyes on Aubrey as we sing Happy Birthday to her! Can you tell that she loves being the centre of attention?.. ha!... not really!

The next day, we drove down to my mom's house and had a SURPRISE party for Zoe!  And, continued to celebrate both Zoe's and Aubrey's birthdays!!!

Camping!

[August Long Weekend]

Our ward had an over-night camping activity just a few minutes outside of Airdrie. We've never been camping as a family before, so we borrowed a tent from my dad and did it! We ended up being the only   people from our ward there...but, it was FUN!

It only took about 2 hours to get the fire started...it was pretty damp there...but, it started just as the sun went completely down.

Olivia felt ill and decided on her own to go to sleep! Aubrey stayed up with me and Wes and hung out in front of the fire.

The girls loved it! We'll do it again next year.

Banff

[June 15]

We live in such a beautiful place of the world. Banff is just over 1 hour from our home. We decided to take a day trip. Our girls loved it. Wes was soo tired (sleepy tired) because he's been working such long hours, but he made it through! There was a bike race on when we were there and with that came vendors in the streets...with a band...and the girls heard the music and couldn't help but dance! The weather was perfect and we all had a wonderful time.

Las Vegas!

I went to Vegas..again! ha! 

This time it was for a Business Convention.

We tried to make it work so Wes could come, but we didn't have childcare. And, even if we did he got a couple of really big jobs so we thought it was just best for him to stay home with the girls...plus, we've been to Vegas a few times together. We'll choose a different place to visit together...in the winter when we need a warm break!

We were at the airport at 4:40 am...and I really didn't get any sleep before that! Luckily, Liz let me sleep on her shoulder...pretty much the whole time...for both flights! Thanks, Liz! Vegas was HOT. I almost died. We arrived on Wed (my sisters and their husbands), got to their hotel, the Stratosphere, and walked to have lunch at _____. And then we had to walk back!! I feel like a baby, but I really was drenched in sweat and felt shaky! I made it back alive! I was happy about that! We hung out for a bit and then I was asleep by 8:00 pm! Party Animal!!

Thursday was training all day at the JW Marriott, Gems Breakfast Friday morning, with convention starting in the afternoon going through Sunday morning. 

I loved seeing our team members and re-connecting with people....and meeting new friends!

I had an amazing time, but boy...I sure missed my family!!!!!!
