VC Mission Reunion!!!

[August 16 - 19]

This trip was amazing!!! The Seely's were the Directors of the Visitor's Centre when I was a missionary there in 2003-2004. They invited everyone over to their cabin in Ashton, Idaho for the weekend!! We had the best time, meeting the spouses, meeting the kids, catching up, reminiscing, and just being together. What a blessing it was to serve a mission. What a blessing it is to know these people. They will always hold a special place in my heart. We are family. I will love them forever. 

We Left Our Hearts in San Fransisco

Wes and I think it is SO NEAT that we served in neighboring missions. He served in San Fransisco California, and I served right across the bay in Oakland. The funny thing is that is where we met for the very first time. Wes came back to visit his mission. He stopped by the Visitors' Centre on Temple Hill and met a "greenie" sister missionary with curly hair, wearing a navy-blue skirt and Canadian flag by her tag, from Lethbridge Alberta Canada.....THAT WAS ME!! I actually have no recollection of this experience, but think it's a great story! Who knew that after all these years we would meet again, fall in love, and get married!!

We loved going back together in July '07 to share our missions with each other. This truly was a memorable experience to be together in a place of the world that has a special place in both of our hearts....the place where we served as Servants of the Lord Jesus Christ in bringing His message of the restored gospel to the people of the east-bay area!
